Makita drops a new top dog framing blade
One of the big surprises we have had this year is the release of the Makita 7 1/4” Max efficiency carbide tipped framing blade. At first glance it looks almost identical to the earlier 24 tooth ultra coated framing blade but when looking closer you begin to notice the differences.
First Impression
First thing you will notice is it is lighter due to the thinner design at 0.057” thick making it one of the thinnest blades ever. The differences don’t stop there. The actual carbide teeth are tapered for less friction in the cut. The shoulder of the tooth is narrower than the cutting edge thereby reducing contact with the material being cut.
We have used them both in the shop and on the job and been nothing but impressed time after time. We had initial fears that this blade may not be durable since it’s so thin so we ran some extreme tests.
To determine just how efficient this blade is over existing blades we set up a continuous rip test with the XSR01Z which is the X2 36v rear handle saw. We got some culled lumber from Home Depot that no one would want to use for building because it was warped and cracked. It ended up being 2×12 Douglas fir. With the new max efficiency blade we were able to get over 300 feet of lineal 2x rips on one charge of 2-5.0 batteries.
See the video
This was over twice as many lineal feet of ripping as compared to the most popular framing blade on the market. The Diablo tracking point amped blade which is known for being efficient and durable even with nails and screw embedded wood. The results were so shocking to me I couldn’t believe my eyes. I re-ran the test to make sure the results were accurate.
See the video here
Many have been concerned about blade wander in long heavy cuts because of the extra thin kerf. I have found no such wandering even though I made cut after cut with no rest between other than the time it took to walk from one end to the other. The blade was warm but never warped.
For a second test I cut 10 framing nails to see how it would affect the blade and then re-ran the test. The results were just as astounding at the first test. I was able to rip 265′ in the same Douglas fir on one battery charge.
After cutting nails video
For a third and final test I wanted to see how many framing nails it could cut embedded in framing lumber before becoming too dull to cut. I feel this is important since I have experienced many blades becoming harder to cut with after hitting as little as one nail. We were astonished to see the blade pass through 190 framing nails! I think it would have cut many more if I had let the blade cool. It went through about 180 before the blade started to warp and wobble. I kept pushing hard anyway and all the teeth sheared off at once.
With an asking price of about $10 at Acme Tools I will definitely be using this blade for years to come. Let us know what you think in the comment section below.
Specs according to Makita

Good article! Impressive blades
Good article! Need to try some.
Would like to see for myself how straight this blade tracks being so thin. Haven’t heard anything bad yet.
Would love to see future 6 1/2 version
After reading so many good reviews about the blade I decided to buy a 10 pack from Amazon. Still on my first blade! Can’t believe how fast smooth and efficient on the batteries it is! The best thing yet for blades!
Looks like a beast!
Very impressed. awesome video and review!
Forgot to say the whole trade and location part. I’m a carpenter out of Middlefield, Ohio. And again I would love to use these blades in the field and would love to have that saw
Absolutely love makita tools and that’s all my shop uses for cordless power tools. I would love to try these new blades in the field myself after seeing your tests ran on them. I enjoy testing out the newest framing blades to see how much better quality they are from what’s already out. I would love to win either of these!
Absolutely love Makita tools and that’s all the guys use in our shop for cordless power tools. I would love to try this saw out in the field especially after seeing/reading about the tests you ran. That new blade seems to be quite the workhorse so I wouldn’t mind having some on hand either. I enjoy trying out new framing blades to see how much better the quality is compared to what’s already out there.
those are sweet!I will definitely have to try them out!
I’ve had makita tools almost exclusively since my first 9.6 with a key type chuck. The 18v lithium platform is another huge step forward, I need a full power saw for solid lumber! Thin kerf blades are amazing
Looks awesome. Ripping through nails is a bonus for me, HA!
Very very impressive, wish we had more tools and tool accessories here in Hilo, Hawaii. I’m always looking for better blades and only blade that is great here is Diablo. I love tools and always try to get tools to make my life easier and more efficient for work, but living on the island gives limited supplies.
Forever a Makita fanboy. Very impressed with the speed of the new max efficiency blade
I would love to try out this new blade and saw!
Looks like these are well worth the money. More efficient and more cuts.
Those blades are sweet and the cordless saw to go with is amazing

The videos of this saw looks very impressive. I am curious about the weight of the saw. Can’t wait to try out these blades!
It’s incredible to see how far blade innovation has come. The top tool companies keep raising the bar which is fantastic for us the consumer!
Can’t wait to try these blades cutting threw concrete covered boards all day!

Can’t wait to try these blades! See how they work cutting concrete covered lumber!
Makita at it again. I knew I should have gone back to them. I owned the old gun clip style cordless drill. I upgraded to Porter cable nicad then went lithium to dewalt 20v. These new blades are looking to out do anything on the market.
Makita has always made great blades can’t wait to try them
Awesome review. Looks like I know what blade I’m buying new.
These blades are hurt some sales for other manufactures I’ve been running the dewalt blades on my 7 1/4 20v seems the factory are the only ones I can get the best battery life out of,for sure going to have to give these a try over the next bit working in topsail building back after Florence
Love the Makita brand , can’t wait to try the max efficientcy blades , the durability would be great especially on the job when the apprentice uses the finish blades for demo without knowing the difference
Looks like a promising blade!
Looks like a great combo. Would love to get a hold of that saw or the blades @kta_remodeling
I’m really excited to use some high efficiency blades for a change. battery life is king. @redtex206
These blades simply put are awesome!!!
Makita is a wonderful brand. There are so many products I still need to get. Definitely going to buy this saw and blades.
Awesome review!
Cant wait to try these blades. I really want to try the new sidewinder saw as well.
Can’t wait to try one of these out! They look amazing!
I do a lot of tile work and that usually means having to trim old pine doors that can be very hard, this blade and saw combo would make quick work!!! Thanks Toolpig?
Don’t have an Acme near me but I’m hoping to find some online or be one of the 3 winners! Was really impressed with the performance against the Diablo in the worm drive since that’s what I’ve been running for years! It’s going to be like my 5ah’s are 7ah’s now!
300’ of rip power on one charge? That’s pretty nuts, would love to get my hands on some free blades!!!?
Love the article and love the sub compact saw. Want to try the 7 1/4 saw though!
Wonderful design. Will def be purchasing some of these bad boys.
GREAT GREAT blades… EXCELLENT review…. my thoughts on this as well as ALL Makita blades is that they do NOTHING but push the envelope and raise the standard!!! PHENOMENAL!! Thanks for an excellent review @toolpig
Seems like a very solid blade. Coupled with yje new saw it seems unstoppable. Would gladly swap out my Milwaukee stuff for this saw/blade combo!
@gmhdane
Seems like a really solid blade. Cant wait for try them out!
@gmhdane
Makita makes great cordless circular saws, I can’t wait to see what this thing has to offer. By the looks of it, it looks like they have some how improved an already great thing.
I definitely would like to try these. Tired of all the other sub-par blades out there these days!
Amazing review once again! I come to you for most of my “should I purchase” thoughts! A blade tested and put through hell, I love it.
Ordering right now
I cant wait to try this blade out! ordering some now
Awesome review these sound tough!
friend has one I’ve tried it. Blades are awesome saws lightweight love to be the other guy on the job with one of those saws cordless is the way to go
My friend let me try his the other day. I’ve been buying razorback and freud for the last 10 years, after trying this blade, I won’t be going back. Now I have to go out and 4 blades to outfit my kit.
I would definitely give these a try after seeing the video and review. Looks so much faster than my blades. Thank you.
Looks impresive i need to try one of these blades.
I can’t tell you much about these products other that i’d love to try them out! I just started a small renovation company and so far things are going great! But I’m missing a cordless circular saw still!
Cant wait to try these out. They look impressive!
Haven’t had a chance to try these yet. I just received the new Milwaukee blades and they weren’t bad so it would be nice to have a good blade to compare them to.
great review! will def give these a try since all i use are the diablo blades. may over throw them for daily use
Definitely something to consider next time I need to buy more blades. The price doesn’t seem outrageous either.
I think this saw just shows how efficient they can make cordless saws even making blades to extend battery life
Omg I need this saw I need an upgrade badly watching the saw rip and cut like butter with these blades is amazing looking forward to owning one ?
Nice post! Makita’s getting better again! Seems like a constant rolling race to see who is doing the best between all these main brands. Makita will succeed for a while and then another one will come out with something better. Get em while they’re hot!!
Always great reviews and videos! Saw blades are always in the stock section. I do HVAC and have hit my share of nails cutting vent runs, return air chase’s in. Blades or saw is a win!!
I’m very intrigued about these new blades! I couldn’t believe how many more cuts you got on a battery. Can’t wait to try these!
We need this and blades!!
Makita is such an incredible brand and I’m sure these blades livd up to the hype. I would love to test out a few while I build my firewood shed!! Thanks for all he great content.
Wow, what a saw and blade. These videos are awesom. Can’t wait to get this tools out on the job site.
Looking forward to it! Love makita
looks beautiful, I’ve got a dinky ryobi one plus circular saw and it barely cuts these blades look like they’d rip through wood like butter combined with the makita saw it would be unstoppable
Anything that increases the amount of time between battery swaps is a win for me!
I liked the last makita blade and I have a bunch of makita battery tools. Now I just need batteries. Jk.
Looks great! Can’t wait to try it out! ?
After seeing the tests with this blade it’s seems like a no brainer to pair this blade and saw
Nothing better then getting your moneys worth out of a good versatile blade, would love to try them out . Recently purchased the rear handle makita it’s a beast , guessing the new circular saw is just as good
Id like to see a comparison with the new Milwaukee white blades. And a race against the new fuel saw each with their blades. I cant wait to get my hands on the 36v!
Win or lose on October 20th in Sacramento I will definitely be getting my paws on this saw and blade. With that said, when a blade can outlast the competition to these extremities, you really have to look no further. Makita has and always will be my go to for cordless technology and innovation. I bought my first impact in 93 . A 9.6 v stud that carried me into the early 2000’s before it was stolen. Thank you toolpig for the repeated proof that Makita is and always will be a top competitor in the battery market.
I’m super excited about the new blades and the new saw
WoW. I love these videos, because every company claims to have the best product on the market but you actually test each one. These blades look awesome and I definitely plan on buying these in the future.
Great job Paul. Love the testing you put the blade against. Move over tracking point, there is a new blade in town. Can’t wait to buy some of these. @built_superior
Looks like I’ll try them out in our remodel
I have 3 Makita drills and they never died.
This brand is awesome and so strong!!!
??
This blade seems like a great new product for my new saw! Nice article
Beautiful saws by Makita coupled with these blades looks to be an unstoppable pair.
As a concrete form setup man, I’m constantly looking for the best blade for the job site. These Makita blades look like they might be my next choice over the diablo, avanti or Irwin blades either I purchase myself or my company supplies.
All my small tools are Makita. Would love to try this balde?
@power7renovations
These blades look great!!! I’ve always been a Makita guy, and they’ve never disappointed. Im definitely gonna have to check these out.
For 99% of applications I think I the benefits of a thin kerf blade outweigh the negatives. Nice review
I have been a Makita fan since day one. Their blades have always impressed me but they are hard to find out here in Western Canada. I love my 6.5” BL Circ Saw. Would love to try out the new compact 36V!
I’ve always used Diablo blades but after reading this article and seeing the test videos on IG, I’m ready to try these.
I have always loved the diablo blades but I was wondering about other blades abilities. I saw your review and I appreciate all the time you take to test these things out. So I am looking forward to buying these when they hit the market, if I don’t win them before hand! Love that they will allow my saw to run more efficiently and save my my batteries in the long run! Thanks
Man Makita is always coming out with new fire. A Makita saw is definitely on my wish list and these blades too.
Makita has always been my choice of power tools. This saw and blade are an awesome combo! I think the thiner blade would make cuts effortless. The saw is just an excellent size!
Seems like a great set up! The blade being so thin seems worrisome but I bet it works great!
I’m super excited to try these new blades. I have a bad habit of just running old dull blades and cussing the entire time. But with these being only 10 bucks, that’s a great deal for high quality. I’m excited for the saw as well, slowly im working on building up my cordless collection. This looks like a great saw.
I can’t wait to try this new saw/blade combo. I’ve invested in the platform and it’sdefinitely paying off!
Can’t wait to try these out
Great saw. Love makita.
Personally never got to use these blades (our Home Depot sucks) and never got to even see this saw besides in your post. But judging on what you guys have to show and say in their behalf then they look like something I definitely want and would use.
IG. Steelcitylegend
I’m a die-hard Makita guy and can’t wait to try these blades
Makita chop saws are where I first got over the hump on tryin a Japanese power tool company about 20 years ago, and they’ve continued to surprise me over the years. even when I expected a new tool to be a good one, they do something like this and it’s a big wow moment.
I’m going to preorder some of these and put em to the test myself. Very impressive!
Sounds like an awesome blade at a great price – any idea if they’ll be releasing a 6.5” version?
Great review! I definitely am going to be picking up a few of these to put through my own tests. I’d sure love to try it out on that new x2 makita ? 300 cuts on one charge is insane!
Thanks for doing these contests and producing these informative articles! Hopefully I win the Makita x2 or at least one of these rippin’ blades!!
Blade looks like it could do some damage! Can’t wait to try it out myself!
These blades look amazing. Excellent price too. Putting them through cutting several nails and having performance close to undamaged blade test is very impressive.
Me personally, I am a Dewalt guy but the company I work for is strictly Makita and I do enjoy their tools. Haven’t tried these blades but would sure love to!
This saw looks awesome. I recently purchased the makita XPS01PTJ track saw , the thing a beauty. Its my first makita purchase, ive always been a black and yellow guy, ive been recently going red. The track saw was my first blue purchase and i am incredibly happy with it. Im looking forward to expanding my makita lineup and this saw with the high efficency blade would be a very welcomed addition.
Makita was my first brand starting into construction 12 years ago, amazing to see how much they’ve advanced! I still have my original 12 volt drill set
Really surprised the battery life between the two blades I’ve used Diablos blades for a long time now but the new Makitas look really good to, especially on the cordless tools.
I’d love to try these, I’m a die hard Diablo and Milwaukee blade guy.
Cannot wait to try these. After using the Norske Reversacut blades I’m ready for something else
Looks like a great blade! Will have to give it a try the next time I buy a new blade.
@baldybarton
The timing of this article is perfect. I was just on my way to purchase some new blades. The results of the tests you ran we’re enough to convince me to try the blade out. Thanks!
@roel_g
I think it’s a very intresting tools which can help me improve with bilding skills
Makita is really stepping up there game! I wish they made a 8 1/4” cordless track saw and a domino type cordless tool. Great stuff Paul!
Love those blades!
Recently tried the Norske Reversacut blades and that was bog city. Could definitely feel the drag cutting in soft spruce. Looking forward to trying these thing kerf blades. Great review!
@guillermo.w
Been a big fan of makings for years now, they only produce quality and quality accessories, this saw looks like it has real power with the 36 volt power
I would love to try these blades on a LDC project.
I’ve always been partial to Diablo blades but I’ll definitely be trying these ones out!
Awesome review gonna need to pick some of those blades up. Maybe even buy the XSH06 to add to my Makita line up!
Love it! Looks great
Would love to win this guy.
Makita rarely puts out a dud. These are definitely awesome. These blades and saw will perform excellent for years to come.
@thomasr_59
Seems to be a high quality blade. A blade this smooth would definitely improve battery life on saws
I tried some of these at the Innovation tour today, they are incredible! I am so excited to see where tool technology is going its amazing!!
I never really thought of the significance of a good blade before, I just a assumed the saw had a bigger impact but seeing you test this blade and another on the same saw with wildly varied results has changed my mind and I look forward to trying this blade out
Love these blades and the 7 1/4″, blade left sidewinder!
This blade would come in handy on our current job site! We are working with materials that are 70yo and finding nails left and right that are buried in the framing lumber.
Gonna end up buying one of these saws if I don’t win it.
Been with makita for a few years now and can’t fault them with the quality, alway nice to see what the tool pig gets to play around with keeping us all up to date ???
The rip test alone sold me on this saw and blade setup.
Love Makita blades. Can’t wait to try these
Love this killer new blade/saw combo! #tealteamsix This is the circular saw I’ve been waiting for to replace my old dewalt saw.
This blade is the #moab mother of all blades!!! From what I’ve seen on you IG post and read here there is no stopping this blade!
Wow! I’ve been a DeWalt guy for years… mostly because that’s the tools I started with and didn’t want to change battery platforms.
I have been keeping a close eye on Makita products for a couple of years now and been considering a switch. If I won the saw and blade prize I would be very excited to add to my Arsenal and increase my value on the jobsite.
Very impressive demonstration .
Keep up the good work, I come to your site and Instagram regularly to get your 2 cents before I make any tool decisions.
Wow this blade looks amazing! I run all makita tools and have always preferred their saw blades. I’ll definitely have to try these out. I need that powerful saw too!
Never used a rear handle saw before wouldn’t mind having one and it being on my preferred cordless brand is even better. I would like to try these we blades with my corded circular saw to see if they make a difference there as well. Really hope Makita begins to make a larger push in having its power tool accessories more available in places like Home Depot and such. Thanks Toolpig for the write up
Great tool lots of power and has very cleans cuts
The new saw looks amazing too!!
Those new blades look amazing. A must try!!
Definitely going have to try the these blades and saw currently running a M18 71/4 everyday on the job site as a industrial carpenter
Wow, Makita has had amazing innovation lately. I would love to win this guy.
Love Makita tools for making fast clean cuts there’s nothing that tops them. Always have a Makita compound miter saw for finish work and ol’ faithful wormdrive skill for framing. Can’t wait to see what this new blade and a new saw could do!!!
Makita makes great tools! Will for sure need to try this out!
They look nice. Would like to test them out.
Wow this thing looks sick! I’d love to give it a try!
Fantastic looking blades. Ver y excited to try them!
I’ve been really impressed by all the tools coming out in the cordless lineup from makita in the past few years. As a floor mechanic I would really like to see how this saw and blade combo stack up when removing old floors. I’ve been happily surprised with the cordless trim router and just recently the smaller blower, so I would love to put this saw to the test.
I was in the market for a new cordless saw and was about to pull the trigger on a dewalt until I watched your video. Pretty sure I’m sold on the makita. Used a corded makita on all my job sites for years, they are the lightest and have lasted the longest by far.
Can’t wait to use the Makita blades. I’ve only been buying the diablo blades for years, but your IG posts and thorough review of the product has me convinced. My local stores are’t carrying them yet, but I hope they do soon. Thanks for the review. I recommend your IG and write ups to everyone.
all my cordless tools are makita!
i use them everyday to build new houses or restore old ones. i can’t wait to slap on a fresh blue blade! and if i win the saw its going to have a great life! and if i win those awesome blades they will see plenty of action!
i’ve been happy with all my new makita tools and still using some old ones. i use my tools every day to build houses and restore old ones plus i do some hobby furniture projects. if you can cut nails and not trash a blade immediately i’m sold. i reuse old growth framing lumber and it has busted off lathing nails embedded. i would be so grateful to win the saw and blades or the blades!
thank you!
Absolutely amazing what cordless tools are doing now. Have been using the original 36v x2 saw for a few years. And have been more then pleased with it. I would love to try out this new saw and blade combo.
In the market for some new blades for the shop for my makita 7 1/4 circular saw, table saw and circular saw. Definitely going to pick up some of these. Go Makita.
Sometimes I wish I had gone with a cheaper cordless brand but I almost always buck that feeling when I use my makitas. They just make it right.
I like the power that comes from this battery powered circular saw. It makes the job site more cordless, which I like
Seriously one of the best blades I’ve ever used. Ive been a carpenter for 23 years and consistently building decks for 15 years. I bought the worm drive saw at the start of the summer and just finally changed the blades after 3 plus months. Very impressed with the saw and the blades.
I have slowly brought every one of my tools over to makita from dewalt… saws may be next and this may bring my blades away from diablo
Mikita is my tool of choice for over 10 years. It’s no surprise to me they would put a blade on the market that would raise the bar. Definitely a must try.
Absolutely love the look of this new blade being a makita geek I can’t wait to have a go with this inside a brand new brushless 36v top handle saw exciting times
Great info , I would love to try some Makita tools out
From what I’ve read and seen, I cant wait to get my hands on one of these blades!
I just love this brand new Makita saw and new blades. The speed you can rip lumber is amazing. The blade cuts smooth as silk. I like the fact that if you hit a nail or screw a couple of times, you don’t have to scrap the blade. Great review of the saw and blades a well a Cool video showing how these products by Makita perform.
Thanks for making the video and review for the Makita saw and new Makita saw blade. I couldn’t believe how fast this saw cuts and the blade I will definitely use on my Ryobi saw that I have now I like the fact that if you happen to hit a nail or screw by accident, you don’t have to scrap it right away. Now I know I want to upgrade to Makita products. I hope Acme tools runs a great deal on this saw soon.
IG: @howiemac_tigerwoodwrks
It must be fun to get to abuse new tools to test their limits!
This blade looks unreal with the combo of 36v technology. Would have to put this threw its paces here in Aus, using it for everything from pine to hardwood.
Can’t believe how many rips it did come pares to the dabilio
This might be my most anticipated blade release. I am a big fan of the current Makita efficiency blades that ship on the rear handle. To improvement on that and still keep the 7-1/4” actual blade size at that price point is a winner on all fronts. This will be my blade of choice.
IG-handle: @ByronBuilds
Love the speed aspect. Can’t wait to get my hands on this blade and see what it does to help speed up projects.
Im am quite eager to get my hands on some of these blades before my next framing job and give them a good workout onsite. ?
Great review! These blades look amazing! I would really like to try one.
IG: @hauckeric
Great review, I definitely need to try them out myself!
Being a Makita fan I’m totally impressed with the thought that they have put into this blade. I am also a fan of the 36v line up. To be able to rip 300′ with a battery powered saw, or plunge through 190 nails!! My corded saw will be collecting dust on the shelf as soon as I can get my hands on this combo.
I would have never thought Makita would bring out a better blade than Diablo but all your videos and this review prove this is way better for cutting wood. I will buy some if they come out in a 6.5″ version as that is the only saw I have. Better yet, I could win this one and be set! Keep up the good work.
IG: matt_mills8
My OG blade that came with the 36v LXT needs to be replaced guess what I’m getting!! Your reviews are awesome thanks for your awesome work!!! Also that sub compact saw ?
I would love to try these blades
@skibike
That thin kerf is great! I always thought it made sense to reduce blade thickness for better battery life and to minimize wood wastage.
Tool looks good and could actually be a cordless alternative with the brushless motor.
I’m a big fan of makita tools and products. These blades look like they don’t disappoint, looking forward to trying them out!
Ig- @lawsonmayne
Thanks for bringing this awesome blade to our attention! Can’t wait to get some and put them on my X2 rear handle! Or possibly the new top handle x2. Never know… ? as always thank you for the great tool reviews and going through the extra work just for all of our benefit. I really appreciate your real world tests.
Wow. Durable and efficient. I have always liked Makita tools. They seem to give you a lot of bang for your buck too.
I dont. think I’ll ever go back to Iraq in or diablo
Can’t wait to try one of these bad boys
Looks great but I havnt used it yet. Would this giveaway be a 7 1/4” or 6 1/2 for Tracie saw?
These blades look amazing! Can’t wait to try them out! Are they available in Canada yet?
These blades look amazing. After viewing your rip tests, I am sold. Thanks for the great content.
Hopefully get these from the giveaway! They sound really good!
Looks like an awesome blade, and not a bad price either. Love how much you cut with it including nails!! @bowiemeister on ig.
I love your review and sounds like if I don’t get lucky and win your giveaway I will be buying the saw and those blades in the future
I love it!!! I definitely need to tell my brother from another mother about this new blade… we are makita fans
New Makita blades and saw sound awesome and your IG video is proof that they are! ??
IG @carter_carolyn
Would love these paired with the nice new brushless saw!
I will definitely be getting one or more of these once they are released. Maybe I can just win one. That would make it easier. Can’t wait!!!
Looks like some awesome blades and a great saw!
Looks like some awesome blades and a great saw!
Tried this blade the other day when saw the Makita rep the other day. All I can say is WOW! Can’t wait till they release them in the 6-1/2”. It’s really my go-to most of the time.
Can’t wait to pick a few up.
I could use a new blade for sure I haven’t changed mine yet. Definitely like the fact it is lighter less wear awesome! Pick me for a winner please :)!
Loving makita. We are all makita now any way and we want to get rid of our worm drive for this! We were both blade right guys got the blade left and just can’t get used to it!! And we just got a 10 pack of blades we’re ready to ruin so we’ll need a couple more!
That looks like an amazing blade! Can’t wait to try it out!
Looks like a great new blade. I can’t get over how things they are, .057″ is small. Maybe this will be the Diablo killer for me.
That combo looks to be a killer duo. The design behind it just makes sense. This would a great addition to my arsenal especially sense I’ve switched my platform to Makita!
I can’t wait to try these out!
Looks like an amazing blade. Can’t wait to try it out
The new blades look awesome, I’d love to try them against the diablos
The blades look incredible. I can’t weight to test them out! I bet the blade would preform even better on the Mikita rear handle saw. I will keep my finges x ??
Looks like a hot knife going through butter. It would only make sense that a great tool company would want blades to meet the same standards.
These blades sound promising! I am currently using Dewalt blades and they’re okay. Diablo is good, waiting for the milwaukee but from the sounds of it the makita blade seems really innovative. Thanks for posting this review and helping me in decide on circular saw blades.
Man I think it’s so awesome they made this because I’m a sidewinder person. I just can’t get used to the rear handle. Can’t wait to try the blades! Although I haven’t found them in any stores around me yet. Great review as always toolpig!
@miillersconstruction
I feel like the rest of the industry is going to have to keep up with these now. There Is no reason to not be using these it seems.
Wow, will these blade come in 6 1/2” for the cordless compact too? Love Makita! Awesome products .
Great review! Look forward to checking it out!
I’m definitely trying these, makita makes great tools.
I’m excited to try these out. When I started 6 years ago, everyone used irwin marathons, then diablos, which are an awesome blade. The tool companies are giving the people what they want, efficient and long lasting blades for a reasonable price. I like makita but don’t own any of their tools. The blades are cheaper than the batteries though.
Will save you time and $$$! ?
Would love to get these blades
Wow! This new Makita blade looks amazing. After watching the videos I will deff. be switching over from Diablo.
These blades and saw look awesome. Would love to use these blades in this saw but I’m sure the blades work well enough in other saws as well.

Would love this saw so I stop cutting through the cord of my Skill Saw!
I love what makitas been doing with their variety of saws. Definitely grabbing a few of those blades when I can find them.
Really great review and videos to back it up! I was a little skeptical about the width of the blade and how it would do against cutting through since I do roofing and wasn’t sure how it’d hold up if cutting through old deck nails or staples. But after seeing it go through the 190 framing nails those worries were washed away. Will definitely be using them. As far as the saw goes Makitas X2 has always been the top cordless saw. I personally have a Milwaukee cordless 7 1/4in Saw that’s about 3 years old and with the 9.0 it does the trick, but being in Florida it overheats quickly. My corded saws however have always been Makita and I’ve loved them, Hopefully I can get the chance to use the Makita X2 and see if it holds up better in the Florida sun than the Milwaukee.
Blade is looking like a good performer.
That combination makes wood look like butter!
Really great review and videos to back it up! I was a little skeptical about the width of the blade and how it would do against cutting through since I do roofing and wasn’t sure how it’d hold up if cutting through old deck nails or staples when replacing wood while tearing off. After seeing it cut through 190 framing nails those concerns were put to rest. I’m hoping it’ll help my cordless Milwaukee run cooler since I’m in Florida and it can overheat fairly quick. Can’t wait to try the blades out!
Seems to me Makita realizes the blade is just as important as the saw. They want to be the leader on both fronts and it shows!
Blades look I need to add them to the work trailer!
Just bought the compact circ saw and love it. Can’t wait to pair this blade with that awsome saw
Have to resort to importing these blades to the U.K. as it will probably be a life time away before they arrive here! ?
Blade sounds like its a beast! Hopefully I’ll get to win some!
Look forward to trying this saw out. Looks like a good one!
Makita is the best!!! Lol need to get me some of these blades
Sounds like a good blade. Makita stepped it up. Usually you see a red diablo blade in most saws on the job. Maybe they will finally match the brand to the blade! Great read!
??
Really excited about these
????
Makita is awesome!
Sweet cutty cut!! Can not wait!!!?
Wow, what awesome saw!! The blade looks like it performs great!! I would love to win this makita saw!! Great giveaway!!
Really looking forward to getting my hands on these
Looking forward to try it – may become my new go to blades! Great review.
These blades look like they are a new must have for me!
Love the new blades, any chance they are available in the uk and the new 7-1/4 saw looks amazing
Wow is all I can say!
